BFBC2 MP demo next week on PS3

PC multiplayer beta kicks off today.

DICE has announced that the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer demo will be available next Thursday, 4th February on PS3.

The Xbox 360 version was put on Xbox Live Marketplace earlier today, as you know.

Today also marks the start of the PC multiplayer beta for the game. This can be participated in by pre-ordering the game at specific retailers or by snatching a key from an online outlet.

One of those will be Fileplay, a site that also provides server rental for private BFBC2 matches. DICE raised a few eyebrows by holding back the public server files that usually enable any Tom, Dick or Harry to run their own dedicated servers. The developer assured us, however, that no profits were made this way, and the decision was made purely to protect the "integrity" of the game's code.

Fileplay's 10,000 key giveaway starts at 5pm GMT.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is due out in full on 5th March.
