Although Vivendi has published a number of Fox Interactive titles over the years, the French publisher yesterday announced that it will publish and distribute all Fox titles currently underway and not subject to other arrangements.
The deal means that titles from ten different franchises will appear under the Universal Games banner, including The Simpsons, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The X-Files. Some of these games have already been announced, whilst others, like the new Buffy title, will be announced soon.
The deal also means that VU gets sequel rights to a number of titles, although the press release doesn't specify which ones.
The Fox group will operate as a separate developer within VU Games, overseeing and managing the new titles.
