GB Player colour-blind

No spice

We don't really understand why, but if IGN is to be believed then Nintendo of America will only release the Game Boy Player peripheral in Jet Black, while Japanese punters enjoy purple, spice (orange), platinum (silver), and of course black options.

Try to explain that one... Is it some half-hearted, pointless and entirely misjudged attempt to shed the "kiddy" image? Who even knows what goes on in the heads of Nintendo execs these days? Let's just hope this lunacy doesn't infect the collective conscious of Nintendo Europe. Although we'll bet you a fiver it does.
