Sony announces Frequency sequel

Frequency, one of our weakest-selling faves of last year, is to receive a rather splendid sounding sequel within a matter of months. SCEA is reportedly working on the follow-up - dubbed 'Amplitude' - with a mind to release it in March this year.

Amplitude will feature music from Weezer, David Bowie, Quarashi, Garbage and Logan 7, according to GameSpot, with a total of more than 20 tracks. The scope for remixing will be great and among the game's online features will be a remix repository. Along with global rankings and all the rest.

Expect rhythm-action goodness for the US (at least for the two or three of you who actually care) in March 2003, and we'd expect Amplitude to arrive in time for Sony's online gaming service here in the UK and Europe.
