Smash Hits meets The Sims

Shoot me now, please

In a remarkable example of cross-promotional synergies and other marketing babble, teeny bopper magazine Smash Hits has teamed up with Electronic Arts to produce a comic strip based around the best-selling PC game of all time, The Sims. Now you too can follow the adventures of 14 year old Sarah Sim and her family, as she struggles with conundrums such as which tarty outfit to wear to the Gareth Gates concert, and whether to go to the after-show party in a desperate attempt to pull her pop idol at the risk of being grounded by her parents for not getting home before midnight. Or something. Apparently the comic strip will run in the magazine every week through to the end of the year. If you're too embarrassed to buy a magazine with a big Westlife exclusive on the front page (and let's face it, there'd be something wrong with you if you weren't), you can always find the online version of the on-going saga on Smash Hits' website, where you can also vote on what Sarah does to help determine next week's issue.
