NTL bring free net access to the UK!

NTL looks set to finally bring Britain kicking and screaming into the 20th Century [sic] next month by offering totally free internet access - no sign-up fee, no monthly charge, and no phone bills!

The bad news is that it's only available to NTL customers, which means that you need to spend at least £9.25 a month to get their phone line and cable TV package. The good news is that their phone service is cheaper than BT's anyway, and you get a bunch of cable TV channels as well, so if it is available in your area you would be pretty stupid not to sign up for it...
