Animal Crossing Body Paint and Eye Colour: Where to purchase new eye colours and body paint in New Horizons

New customization options for your New Horizons avatar explained.

A range of new eye colours and body paint have arrived in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to help you look the parts for events like Halloween.

Once these new customisation options have been unlocked, you'll have access to new eye colours and body paint options whenever you want.

You also have the ability to change both your hair colour and style as part of the character customisation options in New Horizons.

If you want to purchase the new body paint or eye colour options in New Horizons, then you need to head to the Nook Stop in Residential Services.

After logging onto the Nook Stop, select the option to 'Redeem Nook Miles' and then select which avatar customisation pack you wish to purchase.

For body paint, select 'Body-Paint Costume Tips,' which will cost 2,400 Nook Miles.

For the new eye colours pick 'Exploring New Eye Colors,' which will cost Nook Miles.

Both packs will be immediately available to you after you've purchased them, so you can start experimenting with your avatar's appearance straight away.

How to change your eye colour and body paint in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

To change either your eye colour or body paint (or both!) in New Horizons, you first need to ensure that you have a vanity mirror of some kind.

You can purchase a variety of mirrors from Nook's Cranny and from Nook Shopping, which is accessible from both the Nook Stop in Residential Services and your Nook Phone once you unlock the app.

You can also craft your own mirror thanks to the Wooden full-length mirror DIY recipe, which you should find early on in the game.

To craft a Wooden full-length mirror, you'll need:

  • x5 Wood
  • x1 Iron Nugget

Once you own a mirror, place it on your island or inside your home to begin changing your appearance, then simply interact with the mirror to open the character customisation screen.

You'll find the body paint options on the Skin Tone page and the new eye colours on the Eyes page.
