Activision man confirms DJ Hero

New series from scratch.

An Activision project director has confirmed that the publisher is working on a "DJ Hero" game.

"Activision's doing a DJ Hero game, and I can't comment on what we're doing," Brian Bright told Joystiq, referring to his Guitar Hero team, presumably.

This isn't the first we've heard of DJ Hero. Trademarked a long way back, the game reportedly uses a custom turntable peripheral for scratching and sampling, according to details dug up by Kotaku.

It's thought that UK-based B-Boy developer FreeStyleGames, acquired by Activision last month, is developing the game and that it could be released as soon as next summer.
