Young Gamora actress Ariana Greenblatt to play Tiny Tina in Borderlands movie

Crumpets!

Ariana Greenblatt, the actress who played Young Gamora in the Avengers movies, will play Tiny Tina in the Borderlands movie.

Greenblatt joins Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Kevin Hart (Roland), Jamie Lee Curtis (Dr. Tannis), and Jack Black (Claptrap) in the movie based on Gearbox's shooter series.

Tiny Tina is described as an "unstable 13-year-old explosive expert".

"Ariana is a spectacular new talent in cinema," director Eli Roth told The Hollywood Reporter.

"She has already worked with many of my close collaborators and everyone raves about her. She blew us all away in her audition, and I cannot wait to see her bring the wild, insane and unpredictable Tiny Tina to the big screen. She's going to blow up on screen like one of Tina's grenades."

Video game Tiny Tina is voiced by Ashly Burch (Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn, Chloe Price in Life Is Strange, Parvati Holcomb from The Outer Worlds, and more). Here's the best of Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2:

Roth will be directing the Borderlands movie from a script by Craig Mazin (who created hit TV series Chernobyl), with Avi Arad and Ari Arad producing alongside Erik Feig. There's no release date for the adaptation just yet, but filming is expected to begin in Hungary soon.
