Pokémon-like MMO Temtem is coming to PlayStation 5 in December

As an early access "console debut" exclusive.

Developer Crema's massively-multiplayer riff on Pokémon, Temtem, will be making its way to PlayStation 5 on 8th December as an early access "console debut" exclusive.

Temtem launched into Steam early access back in January this year, selling over half a million copies in its first month of release, and Crema has steadily expanded its core creature-collecting and battling action as development has continued, introducing new islands to explore, new social and competitive features, house customisation, and more.

Early access is expected to continue well into next year, and Temtem's eventual Version 1.0 release will launch on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, Crema has now announced it'll be expanding early access development to PS5 from December, in what Sony is referring to as an exclusive "console debut".

From 8th December, PS5 owners will be able to explore Temtems's four islands (six are planned for full release) and capture over 100 Tems as part of the game's main (optionally co-op) campaign, currently equating to around 30 hours of play. Various competitive modes, including ranked matchmaking battles, are also available and cross-play is supported with the PC version.

Temtem will cost £31.99 and £44.99 for the standard and deluxe editions respectively come its early access launch on PS5, with those prices increasing with every major update until its Version 1.0 release. Those that pre-order will get an exclusive in-game title and PSN avatars, and more details can be found over on the PlayStation Blog.
