Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit launches today and it's getting in the way of people's cats

Press paws.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit arrives in living rooms around the world today - and it's already upsetting their feline inhabitants.

Nintendo and Velan Studios' remote controlled collaboration mixes real-life remote control toys with augmented reality courses and hazards. But none of the game's flashy marketing featured the real household hazard: cats.

This morning, from Japan, we got footage of Mario Kart Live in use out in the wild - until one owner's cat decided otherwise:

Next, hold onto your lunch, is this footage of another owner finding their cat, um, in the middle of vomming up a furball. It's the second video below:

And then there's this, from Unranked Podcast, which got early access to the game this week. To be clear: we do not condone you using your Mario Kart Live toy to chase your cat around your flat.

Are you picking up Mario Kart Live? It's fairly pricy, with each kit costing £100, though the tech inside is quite impressive. If you do, and have cats, please send us the footage.

We'll have our Mario Kart Live review up soon, once Martin has figured out how to get it working in his shed.
