Here's what merch is coming in the Mario 35th Anniversary Collection

T-shirts! Soft toys! Mugs! More!

As part of the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct back in September, Nintendo announced the Mario 35th Anniversary Collection - a range of merch, goodies and more that would be released to celebrate the occasion. Well, all of that assorted gubbins is now available to order from the Nintendo Official UK Store.

First impressions: it's an, um, eclectic mix of merch - to say the least.

Let's start somewhere simple: the t-shirts and hoodies. A total of five designs are available, including one of Mario flinging fireballs, another with Mario being dragged away by some unseen chaos by Luigi and one of the plumber receiving a peck on the cheek from Peach.

Next to that are a couple of fairly ordinary mugs, thermal flasks and tote bags that use some of the t-shirt designs or their own unique patterns.

Cat Toad. I will protect it. I want to see it grow up healthy.

Lastly, though, is the set of five exclusive Mario soft toys. For the sum of twenty English pounds each, you can fill your home with Tanooki Mario, Propeller Mario, Cat Mario, Penguin Mario and, best of all, Mario in a giant green Goomba shoe. Wild.

If you can't get enough of the soft toys, there's also a Cat Peach, Cat Luigi and Cat Toad (the cutest of them all). You can pick one up for £15 or save an extra fiver when bought alongside Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

I don't think there's anything in here that jumps out immediately as a must-have collectable compared to the upcoming Super Mario Bros Game & Watch, but do browse the full range to see if something takes your fancy. All items are set to ship from 9th December, so you could at least snag a Mario fan a Christmas gift or two!
