Resident Evil Village - that's Resident Evil 8 - sounds like it may also release on current-gen consoles.
That's despite the game initially being revealed as a PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S game.
Speaking today during a Tokyo Games Show presentation, producer Tsuyoshi Kanda stated Capcom would "do our best" to create PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions too.
"While Resident Evil Village is being developed specifically for next-generation consoles and PC, we're looking into delivering the experience on Xbox One and PS4 as well," Kanda said.
"We're looking into it, but we can't make any promises. However, we will do our best in creating a top-tier survival horror experience on current generation consoles."
Village is currently due sometime in 2021, and will pick up the series' story a few years after the end of Resident Evil 7. Expect protagonist Ethan to return alongside Chris Redfield in a Europe-set story with some real Resident Evil 4 vibes.
Oh, and as Eurogamer reported earlier this year, the game will once again take place from a first-person perspective. Here's a look at it from its recent PlayStation 5 showcase showing:
