PS5 costs £450 in the UK, the same as Xbox Series X

£360 for Digital Edition.

Sony has finally announced a PlayStation 5 price. It costs £449.99 in the UK, while the Digital Edition costs £359.99.

Sony also announced the release date: 12th November in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, and the 19th November in the UK.

It's an aggressive price point from Sony, which has matched the Xbox Series X price.

The PS5 Digital Edition, however, costs £110 more than the Xbox Series S. But it's worth remembering the PS5 Digital Edition is the standard model sans an optical drive, whereas the Xbox Series S is less powerful than the Xbox Series X.

Sony has said the PS5 will be available to pre-order tomorrow morning, 17th September 2020 at "select retailers". We're trying to find out which ones now.
