Halo Infinite might be delayed, but you can now collect double XP, cosmetics from Monster Energy

Can it.

Millions of Monster Energy drink cans with Halo Infinite double XP codes and cosmetic gun skins are now rolling onto shop shelves - even though you won't be able to use that sweet, sweet loot until some point next year.

Halo Infinite was meant to be Microsoft's big Xbox Series X launch title, released in just a couple of months' time. Alas, that is no longer the case.

But this delay clearly came too late to stop the Monster Energy train. Cans boasting double XP codes are rolling onto US shop shelves from today, 1st September, and will be available here in the UK from 1st October.

So, what to do? Well, Microsoft will store up that double XP for whenever Halo Infinite does actually launch. Enter each code into the correct website for your particular region and the boosts will be applied at some point next year, if we all make it that far.

The promotion's UK FAQ page reveals that you'll get 30 minutes of double XP per code and in-game content for the first eight drinks you guzzle. (It looks like this means the gun skins and emblems above.)

After that, you'll just get the double XP, up to 60 hours total. (60 hours means 120 cans of Monster Energy. Please don't drink this much Monster Energy.)
