Borderlands 3's fourth and final DLC campaign goes inside the head of Psycho Kreig

Coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in September.

Gearbox has shared first details of Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, Borderlands 3's fourth and final paid DLC campaign, ahead of its release on 10th September.

According to Gearbox's latest blog post, Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck (which I'm just going to called Psycho Krieg from now on, because I haven't got all day) is a "savage and surreal journey into madness", which takes its lead from "brilliant" scientist Patricia Tannis.

Long story short, Tannis' research into the mysterious force responsible for the erratic behaviour of Borderlands 3's psychos guides her to Vaulthalla, a "mythical place that induces insanity in all who learn its true nature". In order to unlock its secrets, Tannis elects to beam you and your fellow Vault Hunters into the brain of the titular Krieg.

Once ensconced in his bonce, players must confront the two sides of Krieg's personality - one calm, the other filled with murderous range - in order to survive his "twisted, meat-filled mindscapes" and reap the rewards. There are hints of the strangeness awaiting those brave enough to embark on the brain-diving adventure in Gearbox's reveal trailer above.

Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck will be available as part of Borderlands 3's season pass, or as an individual purchase, when it comes to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in September.
