Everything you need to know about the map in Call of Duty: Warzone. 

Having an in-depth knowledge of the map in Call of Duty: Warzone could be the difference between winning or losing a match.

Due to the size of Warzone's map, it's been divided into five sectors, which consist of a number of zones.

As you traverse the different zones, you'll find yourself experiencing a variety of terrains, which could be anything from open farmland to the inner city.

Call of Duty: Warzone map sectors and zones explained

Call of Duty: Warzone has a very large map for you to explore and, to make navigation a little bit easier, it has been divided into five different sectors.

These five sectors are:

  1. Verdansk North
  2. Verdansk West
  3. Verdansk Southwest
  4. Verdansk Central and South
  5. Verdansk East

Each sector contains a collection of zones, which themselves contain a number of landmarks for you to explore. In and around these landmarks you'll find Buy Stations, vehicles and ATMs.

In total there are 45 zones and 335 landmarks in Warzone.

A sector will also focus on a particular type of terrain; Verdansk North (Sector 1) has a mountainous terrain, for example, compared to Verdansk Central and South (Sector 4), which is where the majority of the buildings in Warzone can be found.

Don't worry - you'll still be able to land and explore any Sector in each match. Well, until the gas arrives that is.

Call of Duty: Warzone in-game map explained

You can access the map for Call of Duty: Warzone at any point during a match. Simply open up your Tac Menu and you'll find a zoomed out version of the map.

On this map, you'll be able to see the locations of your squad, any loadout drops, contracts, buy stations and a variety of vehicles.


Zooming will allow you to see which of these features are in your intimidate location, which will help you grab an early advantage in any match.
