The Valve Index VR headset will be back in stock briefly on Monday

Grab your new Combine harvester.

The in-demand Valve Index VR headset will be back in stock this coming Monday (9th March) but is expected to sell out on the day. It will go on sale from 5pm UTC.

The time and date were announced by Valve on both Twitter and in a Steam message sent to people interested in the Index headset.

The Steam message added: "Due to high demand, we expect available stock to sell out on Monday. All purchases beyond this initial quantity will be fulfilled in the order in which they are received, as supplies increase over the coming months." In other words, get in there quick.

Valve Index stock shortages have been caused by the impact of coronavirus on the device's production line, and the increased demand surrounding the release of Half-Life: Alyx on 23rd March.

But while Half-Life: Alyx is a VR-only game and Valve Index is the best way to enjoy it, the game will work on other headsets too. Digital Foundry put together a Half-Life: Alyx VR headset guide with all the possible permutations.
