Update: now that we're but one day away from Black Friday, the best online deal for a Switch Lite comes from Nintendo itself. You can get a Switch Lite plus a Nintendo Online subscription - plus "over 65 games!" that are actually just classic NES/SNES titles, so don't get too excited - for £199.99. If you don't want the online account, then ASDA is still the cheapest - if you can find one.
Original story: It would seem that supermarkets have come out swinging for Black Friday deals this year. Last week it was Lidl with an Xbox One S, this week it's Asda with what currently ranks as the best Nintendo Switch Lite deal - better than anything else we've come across during our hunting for the best Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals.
Asda's offer means you can get yourself a Switch Lite, in blue, yellow, or grey, for a mere £169.99 - a full £30 off. There is, alas, a catch: it's only available in-store, and not even in every store. You can find out which on the Asda website. Hopefully, this will not end in the vintage Black Friday tableau of people trampling each other in their rush to load up on cut-price consumer electronics.
If you can't face real-life shopping, the best online Switch Lite Black Friday deal of 2019 is currently over at Amazon, where you can get a Switch Lite for £189.99. Or, over at the Nintendo Official UK Store, you can get any Nintendo Switch Lite with a free Nintendo Switch Online 12-Month Membership for £199.99.
- Nintendo Switch Lite with Pokémon Sword or Shield bundle for £219
- Nintendo Switch Lite with a free Nintendo Switch Online 12-Month Membership for £199.99
For further bargains, such as they are, you can peruse our list of Nintendo Switch deals for Black Friday 2019, which we're going to be updating all week. It's a little quiet on the deals front right now, but usually things pick up midweek as we approach Thanksgiving and then the hallowed day of Black Friday itself. Most UK retailers have fully committed to Black Friday this year, with many deploying discounts already, so expect more offers as the week progresses.
