Pokémon Go A Colossal Discovery quest steps, rewards and ticket price explained

Everything you need to know about Pokémon Go's first paid in-game event.

A Colossal Discovery was the first paid in-game event for Pokémon Go.

Inspired by Pokémon Go Fests, A Colossal Discovery gives players the chance to earn rewards, including an exclusive avatar pose, and the opportunity to catch Regigigas before it enters the EX Raids.

Ahead of time, Pokémon Go fans knew the event was coming at the beginning of October before being officially announced on October 14th 2019.

How Regigigas event 'A Colossal Discovery' works in Pokémon Go, Regigigas event date and time explained

'A Colossal Discovery' takes inspiration from the Go Fests that occur around the world in cities like Chicago and Dortmund. Unlike these events, however, that happen in a set location, 'A Colossal Discovery' will be available to every Pokémon Go player across the world.

Pokémon Go's 'A Colossal Discovery' event start date and time was Saturday November 2nd from 11am to 7pm in your local time zone.

To take part you must purchase a ticket in-game before or on Saturday November 2nd.

If you decide to take part in the event, a time-limited Special Research quest, 'A Colossal Discovery,' will become available to you on Saturday November 2nd from 11am onwards.

'A Colossal Discovery' will work exactly like the other Special Research questlines, which have been released for Mythical Pokémon like Celebi and Jirachi.

The quest will be broken down into several steps, which will consist of three individual challenges. You'll be rewarded for each individual challenge and step you complete.

Once you complete them all, you'll be given the opportunity to catch Regigigas - the Colossal Pokémon.

There is no restriction on when you can complete 'A Colossal Discovery.'

If you don't complete the Special Research by the end of the event, then the tasks will change to something less reliant on the Pokémon encounters and raids that occurred during the weekend of the event.
