The Witcher 3 Serpentine gear: How to get the Serpentine Steel Sword and Serpentine Short Sword
How to complete the Serpentine set of gear.
Witcher 3 Serpentine swords are the first foray into the world of proper Witcher gear that you'll experience.
Both of these fine swords can be crafted once you've found the diagrams within White Orchard, and finding one will lead you to the other. That being said, we've included the locations of both just to be safe.

The Witcher 3 has a vast array of different armour sets to wear. While many of these can simply be found lying around the world, the most powerful items must be crafted using diagrams you can find out in the world.
The best armours are often the Witcher School gear, each of which has a quest line associated with it. While you can always follow the quests themselves, you can also just go and pick up the diagrams anyway.

How to get the Serpentine Steel Sword
The first of the two can be found within some ruins which have been taken over by bandits. It's just west of the Ransacked Village marker and you'll have to climb up a broken pillar to reach the camp itself. Once there, kill the bandits and find the diagram within a chest.
To craft it, you need:
1 Venom Extract
2 Iron ingot
1 Leather Straps
1 Emerald Dust

How to get the Serpentine Silver Sword
This one requires a bit more work. You can find it down inside a crypt of sorts that is guarded by a wraith. If you try and fight the beast in front of the crypt then it simply won't die, so run inside and then finish it off there. You'll find the diagram on a skeleton near a wall covered in vines.
To craft it, you need:
1 Venom Extract
2 Silver Ingot
1 Leather Straps
1 Emerald Dust
