Time loop space exploration adventure Outer Wilds comes to PS4 next week

Here we go again.

Developer Mobius Digital's wonderfully eccentric space exploration game, Outer Wilds, will finally be making its way to PlayStation 4 next week, on Tuesday, 15th October.

Outer Wilds, which initially launched on Xbox One and PC earlier this year, casts players as curious spacefarers, giving them free rein to explore its compact, delightfully off-kilter solar system - a hand-crafted, loosely simulated, and "constantly evolving" cosmos.

There is, however, one key limitation; every 20 minutes, the entire solar system resets, leaving players with nothing but their gradually expanding knowledge of its strange machinations - which they might use to go further, uncover long-forgotten secrets, and perhaps even avert disaster when the dying sun goes supernova next time around.

Eurogamer's Christian Donlan was particularly smitten with Outer Wilds' delightful, mesmerising sandbox when he reviewed it earlier this year, slapping a great big Recommended badge upon the experience. And perhaps you too will be enrapt by its interstellar charms when it comes to PlayStation 4 next week, on 15th October.
