Watch the 24-hour Pokémon Sword and Shield livestream here

Oak computer.

For the next 24 hours, Pokémon is holding a "livestream" direct from the Galar region, home to this year's games Sword and Shield.

The "camera" is set within Glimwood Tangle (think Viridian Forest). Expect new Pokémon to pop up from the undergrowth (we've already spotted Pikachu).

If you're keen to spot one of the game's new Pokédex of creatures - or simply don't have anything better to do at work this afternoon - maybe pop it on in the background. It's quite relaxing.

Sword and Shield will feature a menagerie of fresh monsters, including the recently-revealed Farfetch'd evolution Sirfetch'd, a Brexit Weezing, and a Pokémon shaped like a teapot. There's one that looks like Kiss' Gene Simmons, too. Apparently he is flattered by the comparison.
