Fortnite - Touch a giant glowing cube, enter the Rift above Loot Lake, and search a landing pod within a meteor locations

How to complete the final Challenge in the 'Meteoric Rise' step.

Touch a giant glowing cube, enter the Rift above Loot Lake, and search a landing pod within a meteor is one of the many Challenges in Fortnite.

This is part of the 'Meteoric Rise' set of Challenges - which also includes visiting different Rift Zones to visit in the same match - and is required for you to unlock The Scientist Skin.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. That said, there are still plenty of other things to do in Fortnite Chapter 2 Chapter 1 starting with New World Challenges including Fortnite boat locations, Fortnite fishing and hidden letters in loading screens locations. And, once you have won a match, a new Victory Umbrella will be yours.

Below is where to find the three required locations:

Fortnite giant glowing cube location

The giant glowing cube location in Fortnite is probably the most confusing of the three on this list, as it's not in a fixed location.

Instead, it's part of a floating island that changes position from match-to-match.

The easiest way to spot it is by looking out from the Battle Bus at the start of the match, where the island will clearly be visible in the air. Once you have spotted it, fly towards it.

When you get close, you'll notice a cyclone of air leading up to the island, and a giant glowing cube underneath - this is the location you are looking for.

You now have to physically touch the giant glowing cube in order to complete this step of the challenge. To do so, jump into the cyclone of air and ping off the cube. One down!

Fortnite Rift above Loot Lake location

The Rift above Loot Lake location is, as you may have guessed, at Loot Lake:

Get there, and enter the Rift Zone that surrounds it. In the middle of this Rift Zone, is a glowing orb.

Now physically leap into it - the low gravity of the Rift Zone will help you - which will see you teleport high above Loot Lake and, in the process, ticking this part of the challenge off the list.

One more to go!

Fortnite Landing Pod within a Meteor location

You'll find the Meteor location high above the map, not far from Dusty Depot:

Looking out from the Battle Bus, it's pretty difficult to miss:

As the name suggests, the Landing Pod you're looking for is within the Meteor itself. So land halfway up it, where on the outside northern edge is a hole that allows you to get inside.

Once inside, you'll find the Landing Pod against the far wall. You then had to search it with the prompt that appears to add this to your Challenge total.

Provided you've done this and the other two steps successfully, you'll complete the 'Touch a giant glowing cube, enter the Rift above Loot Lake, and search a landing pod within a meteor' Challenge. Nicely one!

Fortnite is back! As well as new Fortnite map locations there are Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass skins to earn, starting with New World Challenges and Open Water Challenges, including Fortnite boat locations, Fortnite fishing and hidden letters in loading screens locations. And, once you have won a match, a new Victory Umbrella will be yours.
