Control - how to get the Levitate power - reaching the P6 Cell

Learn how to fly through the sky in Control.

Defeating Salvador in Control will allow you to return to the Astral Plane and unlock Levitate. This new supernatural power will let you soar around the offices of Federal Bureau of Control.

Take your time to experiment with this power and reach the previously inaccessible floors of the Panopticon. If you prefer, however, you can head straight up to the P6 and look for Dylan.

Use Levitate to Complete the Astral Plane challenge in Control

Touching the television will bring you back to the Astral Plane. This time you're here to learn how to use the Levitate ability.

Use Levitate to float above the gaps and the Astral Plane monster. You can also use this area to practise using your Service Weapon, Launch and Shield at the same time.

When you're finished with the Astral Plane, head to the line of floating squares and return to the Bureau.

Collectables to be found:

  • Case Files - Objects of Power - Benicoff TV
    • (Receive after learning how to use Levitate.)

Return to the Panopticon in Control

Use your new Levitate power to float up to the entrance of the Twisted Pathway.

Upon leaving the pathway, you'll be attacked by a number of Hiss forces. Kill them all and reenter the Panopticon.

Exploring the Panopticon in Control

Defeating Salvador will unlock some new Weapon Forms and upgrades in the Astral Constructs menu - Charge, Upgrade Spin and Upgrade Shatter.

Now that you can fly, you can fully explore the Panopticon. This includes reaching the Archives.

If you want to visit the Archives, take the lift back down to the ground floor. On the bridge to the ground floor you'll see a small hanging platform; using Levitate you can fly up onto this platform and, from there, onto the bridge for level 2 of the Panopticon.

Use these platforms as stepping stones up the Panopticon.

Level 2 is the home of Archives. Here you find some new collectables and see some of the Objects of Power you've collected.

Welcome to Archives.

Archives is reached by going left past the Christmas tree (no, seriously) and then through the stone door. Make sure you let the first door close completely, so that you can access the Archives.

If you do decide to explore Archives, be prepared for the Hiss forces inside and the Astral Plane monster ripping the department apart.

You will, however, be able to find some chests. There is one on in the room on the second floor that is right at the back of the department, one in the office opposite this room and one in the left-hand side office, near the entrance, on the second floor. You can also find a shelter by heading through the double doors you'll find in the left-hand side of Archives.

Exploring past the shelter will take you to a small basement area. You may be tempted to open the chest in the middle of room, but doing so will summon a swarm of Hiss Charge. There is a non-Hiss infected chest in the right-hand corner of the room.

Surprise Hiss Charged attack!

When you're finished in Archives, you can head back onto the level 2 bridge and use another platform to access the third floor of the Panopticon. Sadly, there isn't really anything on the third floor, so fly back up to the fourth.

Collectables to be found:

  • Correspondence - Non-Official - Book Club: Phillip
    • (In Archives, on the floor in one of the left-hand side offices.)
  • Research & Records - Reports - Panopticon Methods Proposal
    • (In Archives, on the floor in the room on the topmost floor right at the back of the department.)
  • Multimedia - Threshold Kids - Altered Items
    • (In Archives on the top floor in the offices on the left-hand offices - interacting with working television to watch it.)
  • Research & Records - Reports - Altered Item Behaviour Changes
    • (In an office at the back of the second floor of Archives.)
The locations of collectables - Book Club: Phillip, Panopticon Methods Proposal, Altered Items and Altered Item Behaviour Changes.

Search for Dylan in the maximum security cells - 5th Floor in Control

Finally, you have the chance to go and find Dylan.

Head onto the fourth level bridge and, near the entrance to the Twisted Pathway, you'll see a hanging platform. Use Levitate to fly over to it and then Levitate again to reach the lowest level of the fifth floor bridge.

Climb the stairs to reach the top of the bridge and head towards the swan pedal boat (I'm not joking.) When you reach the swan pedal boat (seriously) you can quickly pop left for a new chest and then follow the walkway to the right.

To the swan!

You'll quickly come to the doors for the P6 Cell. Head inside.

Open the chest in the little office space and then head into the main room of the P6 cell.

That can't be good...

Entering the P6 cell will finish My Brother's Keeper and begin the seventh mission of Control - The Face of the Enemy.

Collectables received for completing My Brother's Keeper:

  • Hotline - Board - Control Points

When you're ready, it's time to start the The Face of the Enemy mission.
