Looks like LA Noire's VR version is headed to PS4

Cop a load of this.

The virtual reality version of LA Noire looks set to launch for PlayStation VR.

That's according to a PEGI ratings board listing for LA Noire: The VR Case Files on PS4 spotted by Resetera user Toumari.

This version of the game previously launched for PC back in 2017.

"LA Noire: The VR Case Files places you directly in the shoes of Detective Cole Phelps," its description reads, "as you solve brutal crimes, plots and conspiracies inspired by real cases from 1947 Los Angeles."

Just like the full LA Noire, this new VR version will carry an 18+ rating, with warnings for violence and swears.

"This rating has been given due to because it features motiveless killing of innocent characters, extreme violence and use of strong language."

Fair enough.

I've not played the PC version, but an LA Noire without all the driving and without its empty open world is an intriguing idea. The game was at its best when it was letting you poke around its crime scenes for evidence, or press its uncanny valley suspects for information from behind an interrogation room desk.

Gamescom is just around the corner - we may get confirmation of this then.
