Respawn to reveal new AAA combat VR game next month

In partnership with Oculus Studios.

Titanfall and Apex Legends developer Respawn will be at the Oculus Connect event in September to show off the VR first-person combat game it's working on.

Now in its sixth year, the Oculus event runs from from 25th to 26th September, and will showcase "cutting edge innovations" as well as talks from industry experts about the world of virtual reality.

Not only will Respawn Entertainment be revealing it's new game there, but there will be a playable demo for attendees to get their hands on too.

We don't know much more about the untitled VR game yet, other than the fact it is being made in partnership with Oculus Studios. However, this isn't the first time we've heard about it - Respawn announced the collaboration back in 2017.

It's possible the new game could be Apex related, or perhaps an entirely new IP altogether. Unfortunately for Titanfall fans, you shouldn't get your hopes up - the studio confirmed lower in the Twitter thread the VR game was not Titanfall 3.

Still, at least you can now pilot mechs in Fortnite, instead.
