Obsidian's original Pillars of Eternity coming to Switch this August

And there's 20% off pre-orders.

Obsidian Entertainment's celebrated isometric RPG, Pillars of Eternity, will be making its way to Switch on 8th August, in the form the DLC-inclusive Complete Edition.

Eurogamer enjoyed Pillars of Eternity to the tune of a shiny Recommended award when it initially released back in 2015, praising the distinctly, and deliberately, old-school RPG's ability to riff on the past while introducing interesting mechanics and an engaging world of its own. All in all, it was probably a bit of a relief for the 74,000 people that rustled up nearly four million dollars in crowdfunding that it came out so well.

The Switch version of Pillars of Eternity will include the base game and its White March: Parts I & II DLC expansions, alongside all updates from the PC original - which introduced the likes of an increased level cap, expanded AI party options, and new difficulty settings.

Pillars of Eternity will cost £44.99/$49.99 USD when it arrives digitally (there's no word of a physical release as yet) on Switch on 8th August. Those willing to do the eShop pre-order dance, however, can get 20% off at present, bringing it down to £35.99 in the UK.
