Finding Fortbyte 78 is one of many Fortbyte locations to complete.

It is found in a Ranger Tower, a cryptic clue that helps to narrow down where to find it.

If you're looking for more to do in Fortnite, there are plenty of Fortbyte locations to discover.

Where to find Fortbyte 78: Found within a Ranger Tower overlooking a drained lake in Fortnite

Fortbyte 78, introduced on June 11th, is found within a ranger tower "overlooking a drained lake". Sounds like Loot Lake to us!

The Ranger Tower itself is on the northern part of the lake, and has been a fixture of the location for many seasons now. Despite the various changes Loot Lake has undergone, this feels like a constant.

Once you get there, climb up the stairs on the outside into the tower proper, where you'll find Fortbyte 78 inside.

What else do you need to know about the ranger tower Fortbyte?

Once you have found Fortbyte 78, there are no other requirements such as having a specific emote or having the map be a certain time of day like other Fortbyte locations - just pick it up and continue your match.

If you're struggling to get it - especially when the Fortbyte first goes live, since everyone else is doing the same - we recommend either coming back either on a later date, a later time in the match (you can hover over the location until the initial rush as gone) or by playing a less competitive mode, such as Team Rumble, where there are less enemies to kill you.

All done? There are more Fortnite Challenges and Fortbyte locations to complete.
