Evil Within studio unveils paranormal action adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo

"Spooky!".

Shinji Mikami's studio Tango Gameworks has unveiled paranormal action adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo.

It's being published by Bethesda, which also handled Tango Gameworks' Evil Within, and unfolds in a Tokyo where people are vanishing at the hands of malevolent supernatural forces.

"After strange disappearances hit Tokyo's population," explains Bethesda, "it's up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before." That's all set up wonderfully in Ghostwire: Tokyo's enormously atmospheric reveal trailer below.

Beyond that scene-setting, details are fairly non-existent right now - to the point where "action adventure" is the closest word we have on how the game might play.

There's no indication of when it'll be out either, or the platforms it's coming to, but hopefully Tango Gameworks will be ready to share more soon.
