Ian gets spooked by Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted

Would you like cries with that?

Regular and intense jump-scares have always been the main ingredients of the Five Nights at Freddy's series. That's why Scott Cawthon's creepy horror games are an excellent source of hashtag content for YouTubers - people just love watching other people get scared!

Naturally, I had to have a go on Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted now that the series has made the jump to VR and you can watch me yelp my way though six spooky VR mini-games in the video below. This should give you a good idea about whether or not this game is something you want to experience for yourseBOOOOO!!!

See what I did there? Text based jump-scare. Classic.

For this episode of Ian's VR Corner I used the PSVR version of FNAF VR, but the game is also available right now for those of you with Oculus or Vive headsets. Controls wise, I used dual Move controllers but you can easily play with a standard controller if you need as the game is mostly completely stationary with very simple environmental interactions.

I think your enjoyment of this one will depend entirely on how much you like horror games and how invested you are in the FNAF series. Being completely encased in VR makes this mini-games montage feel incredibly intense so I can imagine the extreme nature of the scares being a bit too much for the faint of heart.

Fans of the FNAF games should be in horror heaven though, as there are 40 mini-games available, ranging from recreations of classic FNAF scenarios to original mini-games produced exclusively for VR.

If you enjoyed this episode of Ian's VR Corner, you can catch up with my previous adventures over on YouTube in our VR playlist, where I've covered Valheim VR's motion controls mod, Doom 3 VR Edition and everything we know about PSVR 2 so far. You can also read our list of the best VR games.
