Fortnite Air Vent locations: Where to find all Air Vents and launch off of Air Vents in different matches

How to find all Air Vent locations in Fortnite.

Finding Air Vents is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing the necessary Air Vent locations gives you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 9 rewards.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. So what's changed since? Check out the Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass skins, the new Fortnite map changes and the Victory Umbrella.

Unlike similar challenges this season like visiting all 7 Sky Platform locations, you only need to visit and use a total of five Air Vents for this week's set of challenges.

There are 5 Air Vent locations to find and use this week then, but here are all the ones we've confirmed so far for good measure:

  • Lazy Lagoon (Sky Platform)
  • Pressure Plant (Sky Platform)
  • South-west of Dusty Divot (Sky Platform)
  • West of Shifty Shafts (Sky Platform)
  • Between Fatal Fields and Salty Springs (Sky Platform)

  • At the Mega Mall

Air Vent locations in detail

In closer detail, the Fortnite Air Vent locations are actually shared with all of the seven Sky Platform locations, plus a few others. Head to our Sky Platform locations page for more detail on those seven, or use the map above for those. The other three main Fortnite Air Vent locations are:

On the Western side of Loot Lake, in the built-up area on rooftops:

In Neo Tilted, in the middle of town:

At the Mega Mall, again in the middle of town:

On Sky Platforms, on either side of the uppermost part of the platforms:

How to launch off of Air Vents and complete all 5 Fortnite Air Vent locations

For the Week 2 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Launch off of Air Vents in different matches (5 total, 5 Battle Stars)

Across the map are numerous Air Vents, small square structures introduced to Fortnite Season 9, tying into the season's new futuristic theme.

They're found dotted around three main locations - Neo Tilted, Mega Mall, and Loot Lake - as well as on top of every Sky Platorm.

They aren't as easily visible from the Battle Bus as those platforms - but you can of course go straight to one of those anyway, or find them easily on rooftops in those three other locations - so it shouldn't be hard to spot one from afar.

You can also visit them from the ground, too, be that a rooftop one in a city or a Sky Platform, thanks to the cyclones that can help you fly up to the platforms themselves or various means of scaling the buildings in towns.

In order to complete the launch off of Air Vent locations challenge, you need to visit five and jump onto them (launching you up in the air) in five separate matches. Even if you jump on five different vents in one match, that'll still only count as one.

As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players) so you'll have to do your best to avoid opponents as you attempt to find each location - the good news though is that you can quit out of matches once you've logged on and load straight back into another match. There's no need to wait until you're eliminated naturally in order for it to still count, like you do with most challenges.

When you are done, there are plenty of other Challenges to take on this week - so keep playing!
