Fortnite Prisoner stage locations: Where to find The Prisoner style stages 2, 3 and 4

How to unlock extra styles for the Prisoner skin in Fortnite.

Finding the Fortnite Prisoner Stages is an optional series of unlocks once you have completed enough Challenges.

Doing so unlocks The Prisoner as part of the Snowfall secret Battle Star locations, and though the game doesn't suggest as such, there are three additional styles to unlock by completing The Prisoner Stages 2, 3 and 4.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. So what's changed since? Check out the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass skins, the new Fortnite map changes and the Victory Umbrella.

How The Prisoner stages work in Fortnite

First, you need to have unlocked The Prisoner skin in Fortnite. The Prisoner is the reward skin for completing 60 Weekly Challenges throughout Season 7. You can see your progress as part of the Snowfall secret Battle Star locations screen.

You'll see the following reward screen once you are done:

Though the game doesn't advertise these, there are then three additional Prisoner styles to unlock. These are found by interacting with specific objects on the map. They are being released in waves - Prisoner stages - across multiple weeks, with three extra styles available in total.

You only have until the end of Season 7 to unlock them, so make sure you get round to them before the Season 8 release date rolls around.

The Prisoner stage locations map

At a glance, here's where you'll find The Prisoner stage locations:

The Prisoner stage locations map

Remember, for all of the below, you must have The Prisoner skin equipped to interact with the relevant objects, and they must be done in order.

Also, The Prisoner Stage 1 is automatically unlocked - it's the default appearance.

The Prisoner Stage 2 location

To unlock The Prisoner's second style - remember, the first stage is the default look - then first equip The Prisoner skin and pay a visit to Polar Peak.

Specifically, you need to reach the upper-most floor. It's easiest if you land on the roof and head down the steps, until you reach an area with tables to the sides and a fireplace on the back wall.

If you are coming up from the ground, just keep climbing the stairs until you find it.

Investigate the far desk, where you'll find a key. If you have The Prisoner skin equipped, you can interact with it.

Do so, and The Prisoner Stage 2 skin will unlock automatically. This will be confirmed when you reach the end of the match.

The Prisoner Stage 3 location

The Prisoner's third style - or Stage 3 - is found in the desert area of the map.

Specifically, head to the mountain just north of Paradise Palms. On top of this mountain is a campfire, next to the cliff edge on the far side.

While wearing The Prisoner skin, light the campfire. Note if someone else beats you to it, then you may have to try again on a different match!

Doing this will see the skin transform into the third style, and you'll know for sure when you receive the reward notification at the end of the match.

Season 8 and The Sideways have arrived in Fortnite. You can now start collecting the Season 8 Battle Pass skins, using the Sideways weapons, partaking in Sideways encounters, investigate the map changes and obtain the new Victory Umbrella! Make a start on the Season 8 questlines, with the IO Heist and finding IO guards and mending locations for Baba Yaga. You can also start collecting colour bottles for Tonna Fish and completing the new character collection.

The Prisoner Stage 4 location

The Prisoner Stage 4 location is in the north-east of the map - up on a cliff to the north of Wailing Woods.

At the south end of the long cliff is a circle of torches on a stone floor.

Playing as the Prisoner with the Stage 2 and Stage 3 skins already unlocked, the torches will light up when you step in the middle of them.

After that, the stage 4 skin will be unlocked.

Then that's it - all four Prisoner stages have been unlocked! Now to time Season 8...
