Finding Golden Balloons is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing Pop Golden Balloons will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 7 rewards.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. That said, there are still plenty of other Fortnite Challenges as part of Fortnite Season 8, including the the magnifying glass Treasure Map loading screen location, furthest North, South, East and West locations, Pirate Camp and Pirate Cannon locations and giant face locations in the jungle, desert and snow.

Fortnite Balloon Locations

Though you need to find 10 locations, thankfully there are many more across the map.

Here are 19 we've found so far - more than enough to complete the challenge.

Fortnite Season 8 skins, Battle Pass and emotes are here! With them of course comes a new set of Fortnite Challenges every week. We have detailed guides for the trickiest of them, the lastest being how to search the magnifying glass Treasure Map loading screen location in Fortnite, visit the furthest North, South, East and West locations in Fortnite, the various Fortnite Pirate Camp and Pirate Cannon locations and find the Fortnite giant face locations in the jungle, desert and snow. There are also Fortnite Discovery Battle Star locations to find, too, which are worth ticking off each week to save you a last-minute rush!

How do you complete Pop Golden Balloons?

For the Week 9 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Pop Golden Balloons (10 total, 10 Battle Stars)

Across the map are Golden Balloons. Not unlike finding Chilly Gnomes and Forbidden locations, these are scattered across the map, and aren't the easiest to find.

Unlike Chilly Gnomes, Golden Balloons don't make a sound when you get near them. But they are easy to spot from a middle distance, especially since they are atop a piece of string.

Even with that knowledge, some are very well hidden, so knowing the specific locations - which are detailed on the first half of this page - will help.

When you find one, you have to pop it. You can do so by shooting at it with a weapon, or hitting it with your axe. Doing so will make it disappear, and will be added to your total.

Do this a total of ten times to complete the challenge. As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location.

When you are done, there are plenty of other Challenges to take on this week - so keep playing!
