20th Century Fox teases new Amanda Ripley Alien game

"Daughter. Rebel. Hero."

A new twitter teaser suggests Alien's Amanda Ripley's next adventure may include a new video game.

A tweet on the official Alien Twitter account teases that Ripley's upcoming story "deserves to be told" and describes the Alien character as "Daughter. Rebel. Hero". While just 14 seconds long, the accompanying video teaser states "Read. Watch. Play", and the brief glimpse of Ripley certainly looks like it's from a video game. Here, take a look:

Curious Redditors (thanks, PC Gamer), hypothesise that it could mean "they're launching inter-related stories in different media. So there's a (comic?) book, a video game, and a movie", and "it's likely different kinds of media that are somehow interconnected". Others purport "a Netflix game after that Black Mirror thing", Bandersnatch.

In November, 20th Century Fox trademarked an unannounced video game called Alien: Blackout, so it's plausible to presume this project may pertain to that, particularly as the franchise celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2019. Let's watch this space...
