Battlefield 1 players stop shooting each other to commemorate Armistice Day

Lest we forget.

In commemoration of the end of World War I, Battlefield 1 players stopped shooting each other on the 11th hour on Armistice Day.

"This is the 100 Year Anniversary of the End of WW1. On the 11th Hour we stopped fighting," DICE's Jan David Hassel said on Twitter. "Battlefield 1 players stop shooting each other to commemorate the end of World War 1."

A video celebrating the moment is also available on Reddit.

"Wow now that is something I'd never believe would happen in a online game until I saw this," said one commenter.

We agree. Much love and respect to all participants who joined in this effort (except the plane pilot, obvs). (The player who backstabbed the player filming the event later apologised.)
