Red Dead Redemption 2 camp upgrades list, how to get Leather Working Tools

Camp upgrades come in many forms in Red Dead Redemption 2, granting you a steady supply of new tonics, food and ammunition for you to collect from your camp, through to cosmetic upgrades.

How to upgrade your camp and get Leather Working Tools in Red Dead Redemption 2

Camp upgrades come in two forms:

• From Pearson, the camp cook, who can unlock a variety of cosmetic upgrades across the camp by donating items - mostly perfect pelts, hides and skins. He also deals with satchel upgrades.
• From the ledger. You won't get access to the ledger until you do your first debt collection as part of mission Money Lending and Other Sins. This is where the most beneficial upgrades come from, including fast travel.

Once you've unlocked the ledger, it'll appear next to the camp donation box. Purchasing upgrades from the ledger will come out of camp funds first, and then from your own pocket.

Unlocking the ledger is also where you get the Leather Working Tools. Head towards the back of the book, and there it is, for $225.

Any upgrades you buy for the camp appear instantly - no need to wait around. The provisions they supply will be dotted around that location - for example, food to the left of where you check in with Pearson, or ammo round the back of Arthur's tent.

Remember, you need to stock up these provisions through the ledger if you use them up, and each upgrade will mean this restock will cost more.

Ledger camp upgrades list in Red Dead Redemption 2

Here are the ledger upgrades and what they do:

Medicine (Strauss's Wagon)

• Basics (basic liquor, health cures and bitters) - Already unlocked
• Sharpen the senses (snake oil and potent bitters) - $30
• Something with kick (increase total supplies, tonics to refill all stats and premium liquor) - $50
• The good stuff (increases total supplies, adds more effective healing items and tonics) - $75

Provisions (Pearson's Wagon)

• Essentials (the basics - bread and biscuits) - Already unlocked
• Less bland (increases total provisions, adds fresh fruit and basic canned goods ($30)
• Some real variety (increases total provisions, adds chewing tobacco and premium canned goods) - $45
• Treat ourselves! (increases total provisions, cocaine chewing gum and assorted sweets) - $55

Ammunition and arms (Arthur's Wagon)

• Start simple (revolver and pistol ammo) - Already unlocked
• Improve our offence (increases armoury supplies, adds repeater ammo and arrows) - $60
• Some real firepower (increases armoury supplies, adds throwing knifes, shotgun and rifle ammo) - $90
• Let's have some fun (increases armory supplies, fire bottles and high velocity repeater ammo) - $110

Lodging

• Bare-bone shelter (basic canvas, old fur for warmth) - Already unlocked
• First things first (upgrade Dutch's lodging, encourages others to donate) - $220
• Next in line (upgrade Arthur's lodging. Unlocks the fast travel map, unlocks grooming supplies) - $325
• For everyone! (upgrade all remaining lodgings. Improves overall mood of the camp) - $300

Other camp upgrades

• Camp Horse Station (Place to retrieve horses from the stables, or recall your main horse to camp) - $300
• Chicken Coop (Add nutrition to all camp stews. Dead Eye boost when consuming stew) - $175
• Leather Working Tools (Gain access to extra crafting options for satchel upgrades and more with Pearson) - $225
• Camp Boat (in Chapter 3 - easy transport and access to fishing holes) - $360)
