Guacamelee 1 and 2 headed to Nintendo Switch

Avo look!

Marvellous Mexican Metroidvania games Guacamelee and Guacamelee 2 are both headed to Nintendo Switch.

The first Guacamelee is served up for release immediately - you can nab it from the eShop now, priced £11.99. It's the Super Turbo Championship Edition of the game which previously launched on Xbox One, with extra bits and pieces and DLC all included.

The sequel arrives next, later this year.

Guacamelee is a fun and colourful 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania that wears its influences on its bespangled, sparkly sleeves. "Like the best luchadores in the business, Guacamelee has real heart and a blazing desire to put on a good show," Chris Donlan wrote in Eurogamer's Guacamelee review.
