Finding the Basketball Hoop locations is the objective of one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 5 rewards. Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. That said, there are still plenty of other Fortnite Challenges as part of the Fortnite Season 9 Battle Pass. These include finding oversized phone, big piano and giant Dancing Fish Trophy locations, plus Fortnite Air Vent locations and Fortnite Sky Platform locations. There are also new Fortnite Fortbyte locations to discover and Utopia Battle Star locations and a new Victory Umbrella to earn, too. And, for a limited time only, there's Fortnite Two Food Trucks locations as part of the latest LTM too.

How score a basket on different hoops work in Fortnite

For the Week 2 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Score a basket on different hoops (5 total, 5 Battle Stars)

Another challenge from this week is the Fortnite Oasis, Rock Archway and Dinosaurs location.

What this challenge means is there are basketball hoops across the map, and after scoring in five different locations, you'll complete the challenge.

11

How do you do that, exactly? Using the new Basketball Toy added in Season 5. First, purchase the Battle Pass, then reach Tier 11, giving you the Toy. Next, go to your Emotes and equip it.

22

Whenever you use it, it'll throw a basketball in front of you. Do this so it reaches the net, and you'll score.

Unfortunately, it's not the most foolproof challenge to complete. First, make sure you are a sufficient distance away to score 3 points (so you are standing outside of the 'D') to improve your chances. You'll know you are successful when confetti rains from the hoop.

33

Second, make sure you complete the match, as quitting early can hinder your chances.

As with other challenges, playing basketball can attract unwanted attention from other players. As such, you'll want to do it when you are alone, so other players can't attack you.

If you are struggling, then we recommend trying it one of the LTM modes - such as 50v50 - which splits the map so you're surrounded by other friendly players more often, meaning you won't be obstructed from climbing up and getting on with the challenge.

The Season 9 Battle Pass has arrived - which you can read in more detail thanks to Fortnite patch notes - alongside new Fortnite Challenges.
