Completing Time Trials, and their multiple respected time trial locations, is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 5 rewards. Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

How Time Trials in Fortnite work

For the Week 6 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Complete timed trials (5 total, 5 Battle Stars)

As the challenge suggests, several Timed Trials have appeared throughout the map.

To activate a Time Trial, you need to find a blue stopwatch, then interact with the prompt to start it.

This will immediately start a Time Trial. To complete it, you need to sprint through each of the blue markers that appears nearby. It's pretty tough, in our experience, and there are several makers at most trial locations that require you to build in order to reach them.

Our advice is to first activate the trial, then look at where you need to build, do your building, then wait for the trial to expire and start it again, with your building already completed so you can easily run from one marker to the next.

Though you don't need an ATK, they can be pretty hard to reach in time, so you may want to grab an ATK vehicle just in case - although driving one through the points might be harder than sprinting it on foot anyway.

If you do want to find one, ATKs are found throughout the map, though tend to cluster closer to certain named locations (Lazy Links and Paradise Palms tend to spawn more ATK golf carts than elsewhere, for example, and there are normally some in the garage building on the eastern side of the racecourse).

Once you have an ATK you might find things a bit easier, but again, like all other challenges you also have to deal with other players, too - so keep your wits about you as you go!

Fortnite Time Trials locations

Though you only need to complete a total of 5 Timed Trials, here are all seven of the Timed Trial locations in Fortnite:

If you want to know the easiest Time Trials in Fortnite, we recommend any but those at Snobby Shores and the river next to Tomato Town / Temple, as they both require an ATK golf kart to complete.

Specifically, they are found:

Between Pleasant Park and Junk Junction, among the trees:

Snobby Shores, to the east of the south-most house:

Lonely Lodge, above the large hut in the middle:

Between Shifty Shafts and Salty Springs, by the side of the river:

Retail Row, where the R is on the map, between the hedges:

Between Lazy Links and Tomato Town, on the river just south of the bridge:

Next to the oasis in the desert, east of the waterfall:

Remember to pre-build as you go to make things easier! Otherwise, once you are done, there are plenty of other Challenges to take on this week - so keep playing!
