Pillars of Eternity 2's Seeker, Slayer, Survivor paid DLC dated for the end of September

Eora not going to have to wait long.

Obsidian has announced that Seeker, Slayer, Survivor - the second major paid DLC chapter for its seafaring RPG sequel, Pillars of Eternity 2 - will launch on September 25th.

Seeker, Slayer, Survivor follows on from August's Beast of Winter story DLC, and switches things up a little with a quest that's heavily focussed on combat. According to Obsidian, adventurers will need to face off against the likes of duelling wizards and regenerating spiders as they explore an uncharted island "to rediscover ancient relics, and pit [their] party against Eora's most skilled and savage".

Seeker, Slayer, Survivor's title alludes to the three distinct types of combat challenge available in the DLC expansion. Seeker combat, says Obsidian, "tasks players with looking for a solution to take down their foe", while Survivor challenges adventurers to best waves of incoming enemies. Rounding things off is Slayer combat, which pits parties against "truly fearsome creatures in a battle to the death". And now for a teaser trailer:

Seeker, Slayer, Survivor is the second of three announced paid DLC releases for Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, with the third - The Forgotten Sanctum - due to arrive in November.

All three expansions are included in the Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Obsidian Edition, and can be purchased as part of a £18.74/$24.99 USD season pass. They're also available separately for around £7.49/$9.99 USD each.
