'VIP' demo coming to Anthem in February 2019

Tech tests and beta also in the works.

A demo for Anthem, Bioware's multiplayer shooter, will be released on the first of Februrary next year. The 'VIP' demo will come to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will be open to EA Access subscribers and those who have preordered the game.

The demo, Bioware was keen to stress, is not a tech test or a beta - alpha and beta testing will take place between now and release, but there are no specifics on when or on what platforms at the moment.

The announcement came during an Anthem panel at PAX West in Seattle, Washington - the panel itself focused on the game's structure and how Bioware has gone about nestling single player content in a primarily multiplayer experience. If that sounds of interest, I've gone into greater detail here.

All in all, Anthem feels like it's finally coming into focus as a proper game, and it'll be interesting to see what players make of it come February 1st.
