Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 finally hits Xbox One backwards compatibility

Dust off those discs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list and, as you'd expect, is also on sale this week.

All of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare games are now available to play on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came out in November 2009 and quickly became the biggest entertainment launch ever, beating its predecessor. Fans consider its competitive multiplayer to be among the best the series has to offer, while its campaign included the infamous No Russian level, which hit mainstream headlines for letting players participate in a mass shooting at an airport.
