Space Hulk: Tactics looks like a promising clash of Space Marine and XCOM

And it's out this October.

Yes, another Warhammer 40,000 video game - I know! But this one looks like it could be pretty good.

Space Hulk: Tactics is the famous sci-fi board game meets XCOM, essentially. You control a squad of Space Marine Terminators who explore space hulks - "the floating amalgamations of smashed-together starships" - and tear apart Genestealers.

The turn-based strategy game has a card system, two campaigns, competitive multiplayer, four customisable Space Marine chapters and four Genestealer Hive Fleets to play around with. There's a mission editor inspired by the clip-together nature of building scenarios in the board game, too.
