Amazon ending £2 Prime discount on physical game pre-orders

Second class.

Amazon Prime subscribers will no longer receive a £2 discount on physical game pre-orders, according to an email sent out by the retailer this morning.

The discount will cease to apply to orders placed after 7th August 2018. No reason was given for the offer being taken away.

Amazon's email concludes by mentioning all the other existing discounts it isn't ending - including games and in-game items via Twitch and a monthly Twitch channel sub, alongside other Prime benefits such as Prime Video, Music, One-Day Delivery and access to exclusive Amazon Prime Day deals.

August's Twitch Prime games include SteamWorld Dig, Jotun and Death Squared, Amazon announced last night - as detailed in our guide to which we're most excited about.
