Fortnite Gnome locations: Where to Search for Chilly Gnomes

Finding Gnome locations is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing Search Chilly Gnomes will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 7 rewards.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

Fortnite Gnome Locations

Though you need to find seven locations, thankfully there are many more across the map. Though they are all located in the game's frozen south-west region, they can prove surprisingly hard to find.

Here are seven we've found so far - enough to complete the challenge.

In closer detail, the chilly gnome locations are:

South of Snobby Shores is a hill with a lone tree. One of the chilly gnomes is next to it.

Between Frosty Flights and Snobby Shores is a forest on top of a hill, with a hut in the centre. From the hut, go north into the trees, then turn right, and you'll see the chilly gnome in the snow.

South-east of Frosty Flights is a hole in the ground surrounded by trees, not too far from the southern cliffs. Drop down to find a shack underground. On the left is the chilly gnome.

Happy Hamlet, right on the northern edge, not far from the zip wire:

East of Happy Hamlet is a cliff edge with jagged ice structures. The chilly gnome will be in the centre of these.

South of Shifty Shafts is a mountain with a large tree on top. The chilly gnome location is on the southern edge of this mountain.

South of Tilted Towers is a yellow RV parked on top of a cliff. The chilly gnome location is right next to it.

West of Lucky Landing, just beyond the walls of the named location, is the chilly gnome location embedded in the ground.

South of the frozen area of the map is a small island, with a chilly gnome location at the north-west tip.

Between Frosty Flights and Polar Peak is a tall iceburg with a chilly gnome location on top - it's difficult to land on, so building up is your best bet.

South-east of Polar Peak is a series of zipwires leading to the south and south-east. Against the cliff near this camp is a chilly gnome location.

The frozen lake where Greasy Grove used to be has a chilly gnome location next to the roof of the house at the very south-east edge.

South of the football pitch in the north of the frozen area of the map is a chilly gnome location.

The viking village has a gnome location on the east side, on a cliff just about overlooking the village itself.

How do you complete Search Chilly Gnomes?

For the Week 6 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

• Search Chilly Gnomes (7 total, 5 Battle Stars)

Across the map are hidden Gnomes. Like the Gnome challenge from earlier seasons, these are hidden throughout the map, but can be narrowed down through their high-pitched noises. If you hear something strange, you are definitely close to a Gnome.

To help you narrow things down is the 'Chilly' part of the Challenge description. These Gnomes are located only in the map's frozen region to the south-west.

Even with these clues they are very well hidden, so knowing the specific locations - which are detailed on the first half of this page - will help.

When you find one, you can interact with it. Doing so will make it disappear, and will be added to your total.

Do this a total of seven times to complete the challenge. As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location.
