Fortnite - Visit the center of different Storm Circles in a single match explained

How to safely visit the center of different Storm Circles in a single match.

Visiting the center of different Storm Circles is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 4 rewards.

Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

What does Visit the center of different Storm Circles mean?

For the Week 4 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Visit the center of different Storm Circles in a single match (3 total, 5 Battle Stars)

Another from this week is the Bench, Ice Cream Truck and a Helicopter location.

If you've played Fortnite - or any Battle Royale game for that matter - Storm Circles should be a very familiar concept; it's the play area that contracts as the match goes on, as visible on the map.

You have to reach the centre of this contracting circle a total of three times. Thankfully, the game will signify the exact location with an on-screen marker, like so:

As with other challenges, you need to be a Battle Pass holder to see the marker.

What makes this challenge difficult is you must do it in the same match, meaning you must stay alive long enough to visit the center three times, all while players draw closer and closer together as the match comes to a conclusion.

It's not easy, but there a few strategies you can employ to help you succeed.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is here! It brings a free Lego Insider skin and redemption codes with it, along with a new Victory Umbrella. We've also got pages on new features like Medallions, Weapon Mods, and how to complete a Train Heist. Meanwhile, learn what the best weapons are in the current season, how to get XP fast, and what the best PC settings are to help earn a Victory Crown.

How to visit the centre of different Storm Cirlces in a single match

When you first load into a match and start on the Battle Bus, you'll want to jump at the last possible moment, then pull your parachute instead of falling into a dive.

This way, you'll stay in the air long enough to see where the first Storm Circle is located. When you do, glide into the centre. The exact position will be shown by a purple marker, which is visible from the air. Touch down, get near the marker so it disappears, and that's one out of three easily done.

From here, however, things get a little more difficult. You now have to stay alive along enough for the Storm to come in and the circle to contract a second time. It's best to run off and hide out of sight until then.

Find a shack or a hut, ideally not in a named or busy location, and stay put. It's also worthwhile finding a weapon or two, if it's safe to do so, to help defend yourself if needs be, but the name of the game here is to stay out of sight.

Where to go next is all based on luck, but since if you are in the middle of the first safe zone, the good news if you're more likely to be close to where the second centre location will be.

When moving, be sure to avoid wide-open areas, and use tree lines, hills and structures to obscure your view from surrounding players. As you get close, try to scout the location of the next marker from afar, and if it's safe, run in, get it and then out of sight a second time.

You should then repeat this until you have your third. You essentially want to avoid firefights and any attention, and though it gets difficult in the final Storm Circles when players come together and fights start happening, these distractions can also work to your advantage to sneak in unnoticed.

It should also be noted that, for us, the center circle marker didn't show for the second circle. If that's the case, don't panic. Just hide until the next Circle and continue going. That meant for us a total of four Circles was needed to complete the challenge, but it was certainly manageable thanks to it falling in the right places.

When you do get the third and final circle, a special additional sound will play, signifying it's complete.

While we didn't encounter other players going for the Center Circle marker (to our knowledge), there's a chance others in the match will be attempting to complete this challenge at the same time.

If this is the case, and you're struggling to survive for all three, it might be worth waiting a couple of weeks until people have completed it and moved on, taking the pressure off.

As with other challenges, you have until the end of the season to tick it off the list, so there's no rush!

Whether you finish this or not, another challenge from this week is the Bench, Ice Cream Truck and a Helicopter location.
