THQ Nordic's Red Faction Guerilla remaster is out in July

Includes 4K support on PC and consoles.

THQ Nordic's Red Faction Guerilla remaster - bravely titled the Re-Mars-tered Edition - will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, on July 3rd.

As previously announced, the remastered version of developer Volition's celebrated, fully-destructible 2009 open-world shooter is all about the graphical upgrades, and features heavily reworked textures, improved shadow rendering, and fancier lighting, shaders, and post processing.

There's native 4K support on PC, and a variety of fidelity and performance modes, depending on your console of choice. The original Xbox One supports 60fps at 900p, for instance, while Xbox One X owners can choose between 60fps at 1800p, or 30fps at 4K.

PlayStation 4, meanwhile, supports 60fps at 1080p, and PS4 Pro owners also have a choice: they can either run the game at 60fps at 1500p or 4K at 30fps.

THQ Nordic notes that anyone with the 2009 version of Red Faction Guerrilla in their Steam Library (which has already received a steady stream of updates and improvements in recent times) will automatically get the Re-Mars-tered Edition for free in their accounts on July 3rd.
