Nintendo is releasing a gorgeous new 2DS XL inspired by Link's Hylian Shield

US-only at present, sadly.

Nintendo has unveiled a shiny new 2DS XL model, inspired by Link's iconic Hylian Shield, and it's quite the looker.

Before you get too excited though, it's worth pointing out that Nintendo's Hylian Shield 2DS XL has only been confirmed for release in the US at present - which might understandably be cause for consternation if you dwell in a geographically inappropriate location. Oh, and here it is now:

The New Nintendo 2DS XL Hylian Shield Edition, which is what happens when you start adding bits to a name and forget to stop, is a GameStop exclusive in the US, and arrives on July 2nd. It comes with a pre-installed copy of the excellent The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and costs $159.99 (around £120). I'll try and find out if there are plans to release it in the UK.
