Limited Edition PS4 released for Days of Play sale

Plus, discounts on God of War, GT Sport, Shadow of the Colossus and more.

PlayStation's own 'Days of Play' promotion has returned this year, and this time around, it's brought with it a brand new, limited edition PlayStation 4 slim console - a unique blue console and controller with gold features and PlayStation symbols on the system itself.

The extremely limited edition console releases on June 8th in the UK and US. It'll cost you £249.99 / $299.99 and features, alongside its blue colour scheme, a 500GB hard drive and two matching DualShock 4 wireless controllers - though the US territory version comes with one controller and swaps the hard drive for a 1TB model.

In the UK, you can already head over to ShopTo or Smyths Toys to pre-order one of these consoles. No sign of it on Amazon UK or US just yet, but that will likely be coming soon. In the US, you can pre-order the console from GameStop.

The Days of Play promotion itself runs from June 8th to 18th and features discounts on accessories and games as well as this extra fancy console. Among the products on offer, as posted on the PlayStation EU Blog, you'll find some of the following up for grabs.

  • PlayStation VR Starter Pack from €249.99 / $199.99
  • God of War for €49.99 / $49.99
  • GT Sport for €19.99 / $19.99
  • Shadow of the Colossus for €19.99 / $19.99
  • Uncharted: Lost Legacy for €19.99 / $19.99
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for €29.99 / $29.99
  • Uncharted 4 for €19.99 / $19.99
  • PS VR games from €19.99 / $19.99

You can also keep an eye out for discounts on PlayStation Plus memberships on the PSN itself during that time frame, as it's likely to drop by around £10 / $10 for a limited time.
